BEGINNER LEVEL 10:30 A.M. - 11:45 A.M. Ongoing classes - Kahreen stresses the importance of correct body posture.
A series of stretches and isolations will help with everyday posture and flexibility.
The students of all ages will feel better, look better, and begin to tone their bodies
internally. Dance steps and combinations accompanied by veil and finger cymbal technique
are featured in this class. Interpretive and traditional choreographies are taught! |

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE LEVEL: Wednesday Evenings 7:00 - 8:15 P.M. Ongoing class that features proper body posture, isolations, strong
shimmies, and graceful arm and hand movements. Combinations of steps and simple choreographies
are accompanied by beautiful veilwork and finger cymbal patterns. This class will
contain all styles of Middle Eastern Dance utilizing Turkish, Egyptian, Greek, and
New World music. |
Media Coverage Kira Kira is a second generation dancer who has been involved with
dance for the past 26 years. A full time instructor/choreographer, she is a nationally acclaimed performer/choreographer, who
has studied Ballet, Modern Dance, Gymnastics, Yoga, and Middle Eastern Dance. In
her ambition to learn Middle Eastern Dance, she has traveled and studied under some
of the worlds best Middle Eastern Dance artists. Kira is an instructor, performer, seminar sponsor and is the cofounder and main choreographer
for the Kismet Dancers of Miami, which was voted 1997 & 1998 Troupe of the Year by Zagareet! Magazine. A stunning artist who combines interpretive
and traditional dance styles, she is a unique performer who is known for her elegance and fire. Most recently, Kira, as well as The Kismet Dancers of Miami were voted
Oasis 2002 World Champions in the troupe and soloist categories of a competition that nominates artists
according to their contributions and reputations in the field of Belly Dance. A proud recipient of twoLifetime Acievement Awards,
Kira is regarded as a true pioneer in the S. Florida dance community. Kira's now teaches students at all ages and levels of ability at four different locations:
Little Theatre School, Michael Krop Senior High in Aventura, FIU North Campus and Miami Shores Recreation Center. She also taught a chair yoga for senior citizens. Kahreen and Kira's classes are popular with everyone (this picture was

9/2004). During their teaching/performing career, their classes/dance company
have been featured on all the major news networks in South Florida, Telenoticias
de Miami, as well as major news and dance publications. Most recently, their class and 22nd annual theatrical bellydance show
was featured in the Miami Herald.
